Why REaL Camps' Scholarships?
Today’s children are growing up in a world shaped by rapid technological change, environmental uncertainty, and increasing financial complexity. Learning to understand cyber, climate, and financial risks helps students develop strong decision-making skills and the confidence to navigate real-world challenges. They learn how to stay safe online, understand environmental impacts, manage financial choices responsibly, and think critically in uncertain situations. These capabilities are valued by universities and increasingly expected by employers. Most importantly, this education prepares young people to become resilient, informed, and adaptable adults, ready to make sound decisions in the face of risk and change.

Winners of the Risk Olympics will receive a guided tour at a top university and the opportunity to connect 1-1 with a professor to explore campus life and study pathways.
The Risk Education and Literacy (#REaL) Program, proudly supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) PromoScience Grant, is a series of dynamic summer camps designed for Canadian high school students who want to stay ahead and take on the real challenges shaping our world, like cyber threats, climate change, and global health risks.
