Paid Part-time Internships in Risk Management and Insurance (HAIVE 12)
🚨 HAIVE 12: Paid part-time 16-week real-world industry-linked internship 🌟
Applications are open for the 2026 Fall-term Hybrid Academia-Industry Internships via Virtual Engagement (HAIVE) 12 program. Students from the University of Toronto and York University are eligible to apply.
HAIVE is a unique work-integrated learning program offered by RISC and its Partnering Universities. We have so far completed 11 successful iterations of HAIVE, helping over 220 talented students from diverse universities and disciplines find their passion and career with our many industry partners Byrne Associates, Sun Life, Wawanesa Insurance, Laurentian Bank, CIBC, Deloitte, Trend Micro Canada Technologies, RBC Insurance and Co-operators, Caspire Education Inc., York Region (The Regional Municipality of York), International Labor Organization (United Nations tripartite organization), among a long list of several leading players in but not limited to financial services.
We are now accepting applications for participation in HAIVE 12, a unique paid work-integrated learning opportunity to gain professional skills in risk management and insurance while working towards a university degree.
Starting in September 2026, selected interns will have the opportunity to work collaboratively on exciting interdisciplinary projects under the direct guidance of RMI industry experts and academics. Reporting and other forms of communication under hashtagHAIVE will be facilitated in a corporate space built in virtual reality, combined with in-person meetings at York University.
