RISC FORUM 2025

The Risk and Insurance Studies Centre (RISC) invites professionals, academics, and students to join a day of insightful dialogue and collaboration at the RISC Forum 2025, to be held on July 29, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Schulich School of Business – York University Executive Learning Centre.

This year’s forum will bring together leading experts and emerging voices to explore the evolving landscape of risk and insurance, addressing the dynamic challenges and opportunities shaping the field today.

Program Highlights
Participants will engage in:

  • Plenary sessions focusing on key themes such as Cyber Risk, Climate Risk, Financial Disruption Risk, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Risk.
  • Networking opportunities with industry professionals, academics, and students.
  • Live Q&A sessions, keynote addresses, and expert panel discussions designed to foster meaningful exchange and new perspectives.

The RISC Forum 2025 serves as a platform for thought leadership and collaboration across sectors, aiming to inspire innovation and strengthen connections between academia and industry in addressing the complex realities of global risk.

The event is co-organized by York University’s Centre of Actuarial Excellence, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, and the Risk and Insurance Studies Centre, Inc. It is financially supported by Mitacs, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), Accenture, and the American Risk and Insurance Association.
