REaL Camp: Decision-Making in Risk for High School Students

The Risk and Insurance Studies Centre (RISC) is excited to announce that registration is now open for the upcoming REaL Camp: Decision-making in Risk—a dynamic, two-day online camp designed for Canadian high school students. Offered in collaboration with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Yukon and BYTE (Empowering Youth), this Fall program will give students the tools to make better decisions in uncertain situations while having fun and learning through interactive activities.

Program Details

Dates: November 29–30, 2025
Location: 100% Online
Eligibility: Students in Grades 8–12
Cost: Scholarship available for equity-seeking students, upon assessment

This initiative is part of RISC’s ongoing commitment to empowering youth through risk education and literacy, proudly supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) PromoScience Grant. REaL camps provide Canadian high school students with opportunities to explore real-world challenges, including cyber threats, climate change, and global health risks.
