Riĉardas Zitikis International Research Prize in Quantitative Risk Management - 2025 Winner

This award was established in memory of Professor Riĉardas Zitikis of the University of Western Ontario to recognize an outstanding Ph.D. student who demonstrates excellence in quantitative risk research.

We are proud to announce Yuxin Fang (Eugenia) as the recipient of the Riĉardas Zitikis International Research Prize in Quantitative Risk Management (2025). Eugenia was awarded a prize of $1,500 CAD for her outstanding presentation titled “Measuring Systemic Climate Risk in Insurance,” delivered at the Actuarial Research Conference 2025 held at York University in Toronto, Canada.

Eugenia Fang is a Ph.D. candidate in Risk and Actuarial Studies at UNSW Business School, Sydney, Australia, where she conducts her doctoral research under the supervision of Professor Qihe Tang. Her research interests include compound events, climate change, and insurance.

Looking ahead, the 2026 Riĉardas Zitikis International Research Prize in Quantitative Risk Management will be awarded for an outstanding presentation delivered by a Ph.D. student at the Actuarial Research Conference 2026, to be held at The Ohio State University.
