RISC Industry Colloquium: Rohit Gupta

The Risk and Insurance Studies Centre (RISC) is pleased to present the next session of the RISC Colloquium, featuring Mr. Rohit Gupta, Senior Software Engineer at GEICO.

This talk addresses the revolutionary potential of AI-driven technologies in transforming risk horizons in insurance business in the age of digital transformation. AI, through the employment of advanced machine learning algorithms, predictive analysis, and real-time data processing, assists insurers to enhance risk analysis, optimize price models, and manage claims in a more effective manner. Through case studies and theoretical examination, this study examines how AI allows insurers to shift their thinking from reactive to proactive, enabling resilience in the face of a more complex risk environment. But it also creates challenges, such as ethical debates, issues around data privacy, and regulatory systems having to adapt to new technology. Lastly, the research argues that AI-based risk management not only revolutionizes operational efficiency but also redefines the insurer-policyholder interaction, positioning the industry at the forefront of digital transformation.
