We’re excited to bring REaL Camp to the University of Waterloo this summer!

 

For this camp, students will have the opportunity to learn on a university campus while building confidence, exploring real-world career pathways, and engaging in hands-on, interactive activities about the Climate Emergency.

Eligibility: Designed for students from Grades 8-12

  4. Digital badge + certificate awarded
  5. Winners of the Risk Olympics will receive a guided tour at a top university and the opportunity to connect 1-1 with a professor to explore campus life and study pathways.

What you'll do:

  • Explore Climate Risk in a fun, hands-on way through VR simulations, games, and activities.
  • Gain valuable skills that will look amazing on your college applications.
  • Build Climate Risk knowledge, decision-making, and leadership abilities.
  • Work in teams with teenagers with similar interests.
  • Learn from academic and industry experts in the field.

The Risk Education and Literacy (#REaL) Program, proudly supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) PromoScience Grant, is a series of dynamic bootcamps designed for Canadian high school students who want to stay ahead and take on the real challenges shaping our world, like cyber threats, climate change, and global health risks.
