HAIIvVE 10 Launches with an Orientation Session!
The Risk and Insurance Studies Centre (RISC) is proud to announce the launch of the 10th iteration of the Hybrid Academia-Industry Internship via Virtual Engagement (HAIIvVE) Program, marked by a successful and engaging orientation event. This milestone gathering provided an excellent opportunity to welcome new interns, introduce them to the HAIIvVE 10 mentors, and offer insights into the exciting projects that will define this cohort’s experience.
The HAIIvVE 10 Orientation featured a comprehensive agenda, including an overview of the internship program, a virtual reality demonstration, and a special Mentor Appreciation session. During the ceremony, Rubie Ling and Oriana Rahman were recognized with the Inspirational Mentor Award, alongside tokens of appreciation for their exceptional dedication and guidance. The event also created a welcoming environment for interns to connect with their peers and mentors while enjoying light refreshments.
This year’s HAIIvVE 10 cohort includes students from York University and the University of Toronto, representing a diverse range of academic programs and disciplines. Participants will collaborate on innovative, cross-disciplinary projects guided by both academic and industry mentors. RISC looks forward to witnessing the interns’ growth, creativity, and contributions as they embark on this unique experiential learning journey.
